If your computer is plagued with viruses or starts up slowly, portable data recovery software can breathe new life into your important files. A portable boot device bypasses errors and missing files in your Windows operating system (OS), allowing you to boot your PC from a CD/DVD or USB flash drive.
If the operating system is severely damaged and cannot boot, then Portable Data Recovery is the perfect solution for you. You can use it to burn the ISO image file to a CD/DVD or USB flash drive, and then boot the operating system using the bootable CD/DVD/USB flash drive to recover lost, deleted, or formatted data. The entire process can be divided into three steps:
Data Recovery Wizard WinPE Edition is designed for convenient data recovery in situations where your computer fails to boot. It enables you to create a WinPE portable disk to restore your lost files from a non-functional laptop, a failed Windows PC, or an unbootable hard drive. Additionally, this software boasts several notable features:
User-Friendly:
Effortlessly create bootable media to ensure your current operating system runs temporarily for data recovery.
No Reinstallation Needed:
There's no need to reinstall the Windows system or Data Recovery Wizard, saving you both time and money.
Security Guarantee:
100% secure in recovering deleted files without compromising original data. Simply initiate the Data Recovery Wizard tool.
Swift and Efficient:
Rapidly restore deleted files when the Windows system fails to start. Additionally, it recovers data even when the hard drive is non-functional.
Step 1. Create a bootable disk
Get an empty USB. If you have any important data on it, back it up elsewhere, as creating a bootable drive will erase its contents. You'll use tools like Data Recovery Wizard WinPE Edition to make the bootable drive.
Connect the USB drive to your PC and launch the Data Recovery Wizard WinPE Edition tool. Select the USB drive and click "Create" to make it a bootable disk.
Step 2. Boot from the bootable USB Insert the USB drive into your computer's USB port. Then, restart your computer. While it's booting up, you'll need to access the Boot Menu or BIOS settings to change the boot order and prioritize booting from the USB drive. The method to access this varies depending on your computer's manufacturer, but commonly, you can do this by pressing F12, F2, ESC, or Del keys immediately after turning on your PC. Once you're in the Boot Menu or BIOS, look for an option like "Boot Priority," "Boot Order," or "Startup Device." Use the arrow keys to navigate and select the USB drive as the first boot device. Save the changes and exit the settings. Your computer will then attempt to boot from the USB drive. If successful, you should see the installation process of the operating system or the utility you've loaded onto the USB drive. Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed.
Connect the bootable disk to the PC that won't start, and then alter the computer's boot sequence in the BIOS. For most users, simultaneously restarting their computer and pressing F2 to enter BIOS typically works effectively.
Set the PC to boot from "Removable Devices" (bootable USB drive) or "CD-ROM Drive" (bootable CD/DVD) instead of the Hard Drive. Press "F10" to save the changes and exit.
Step 3. Recover Data from a Hard Drive That Won't Boot
When you boot from the USB, you can run the Data Recovery Wizard tool from the WinPE bootable disk. Select the drive you wish to scan to locate all your lost files.
Click "Scan" to initiate the scanning process.
Recover data from the computer or laptop. Upon completing the scan, you can preview all recoverable files, select the targeted files, and click the "Recover" button to restore your files. It's advisable to save all recovered data to a different location to prevent data overwrite.
